Open the zip file, and inside the ffmpeg-4.0.2-win32-static. (you normally go to the official site here, and it sends you here to find the windows build you want, I just did that step for you) Edit: changed the link since shut down. Download FFmpeg, you can get the version you want here.Result (for me): C:\Users\Forcen\youtube-dl.exe You can get to it quickly by pasting %userprofile% into the address bar of explorer. Place it in the in your user folder, aka the folder that has the same name as your windows username.(this is based on the official instructions)ĮDIT : youtube-dl has gotten a bit stale so you might want to try this fork instead: (just download yt-dlp.exe from there instead and replace it in the instructions) This is how you set it up, it takes a few steps but it's real easy when you have done this once.
